Is Nathaniel Baldwin-523 a possible Gateway Ancestor?

Grey-7 is Nathaniel's 7th Great Grandmother. Grey-7 is identified as a direct Magna Carta Descendant (William Mowbray). When looking at Nathaniel's relationship to the MC Surety Mowbray, it shows that Mowbray-151 is the 14th Great Grandfather of Nathaniel. In light of this...would Nathaniel be considered a Gateway Ancestor? Since there seems to be some uncertainty, could we place Nathaniel in the category of Questionable Gateway Ancestor? Thank you-Cheryl

There is no evidence for the entire Harding portion of the line.  The way each generation jumps from county to county is a clear sign that this line needs to be broken in multiple places.

We need to start at the beginning.  Why do we think the LNAB for Isabel, wife of Richard Baldwin was even Harding?  It is not supported by the sources.

If she is a Harding, why do we think she is a daughter of Richard Harding of Northamptonshire?  It seems like a random connection.

Thanks Joe for the sage advice. I have not researched the Harding line as it was already established when I started poking around. I will let sleeping dogs lie while I try and do a little research when time permits.
I have detached the fantasy parents of so-called "Edward Thomas John" Harding.
