Hello Patricia,

The father of all of them was Julyan Caudill as can be seen in the 1900 Census listing Julyan (Line 71) as July By mistake: He is a Male, born on May 1870, Widower; his wife probably died at the time of Grabril's birth on January of the same year.

There was also living with Julyan's family his daughter Margaret Young (Line 76, Born on Dec. 1861).

The family listed just above Julyan's family is his brother Moses's family (Lines 63 to 70), Moses was born on July 1856.

Isam Caudill and Juda were the parents of Moses, Margaret and Julyan as can be seen in this 1870 Census record:

thanks a lot. why does the 1900 census say he is a male and a widower and the other listed as julyan says female? is it Julie ann or Julian? it confuses me. is there an actual birth certicate for henry, William, ora and gabril? I cannot find one
also, that julyn's sister sally is my great great  grandma. she married William hall
Good point Patricia, it might be the 1930 Census record is in error and it was July (Female), the same Julia Brashear (Probable married name of July Caudill) cited in the record of marriage of his son Gabe (Gabril) on 14 Dec 1922. So in the 1900 Census July Caudill was the widow of Mr. ?? Brashear.

Being this way or the other way round, this July (Or Julyan, Male or Female) was one of the children of Isam and Juda and also was a sibling of Amos, Margaret and Sally.

I'll try to find more information.
On second thought, Julyan should be the father. All the children used the last name Caudill not Brashear. And it makes more sence a sister (Margaret) living with a widowed brother than with a widowed sister.
Patricia,

It seems that In the 1910 Census Ora Caudill was living with your great great grandma Sally (Elizabeth) and William Hall (Lines 76 to 78).

Could it be them?
i know ora caudill married williams sister armindas son henry h hall. arminda lived with henry and ora for some years. before that arminda and her sons lived with her and Williams parents henry b hall and nancy callihan for years. so, sallie would be oras aunt . I was trying to find a census before 1900 when july was listed a widower. they got married in 1886 in perry co (masons creek). their first son was born in 1887 so the name of both parents should be on the 1890 census if I can find it. thanks !

Hello Patricia,

I forgot to add the link to the 1910 Census (Ora living with Hall P. W. and Elizabeth (Sally).

I noticed that the Census is plenty of Caudills, Halls and Brashears. In the image 17 of 24 there is a Brashear Ezekiel Jr. and his family (Lines 24 to 29), Ezekiel and July his wife are listed 35 y/o by mistake, they were 39 and 40 on 1910 based on the 1920 Census (Lines 85 to 90) and both of them were 40 on 1910 based on the 1930 Census (Lines 10 to 15),

Guess who this Julia (Ezekiel's wife) was?

Julia Caudill !!

They got marrien on 13 August 1902. The record of their marriage is the next to last record of the image.

The family listed just below Ezekiel and Julia's family in the 1930 Census is his son Gabe's family.

This explains why the mother's name is Julia Brashear in the record of marriage of her son Gabril (Gabe). Her name was Julia Brashear during all Gabril's life.

It also explains why Ora is living with her uncle and her aunt in 1910.

So the remaining big question is: Who was Julia's first husband?

that couldn't be the right people as this julys youngest was born in jan 1900 and their first 1887 and the census of 1900 says they were married in 1886. p.w hall is a first cousin to my ancestor Ezekiel hall who married cloa branson. he is my gggg grandpa. he would be henrys (oras husband) great grandpa. if I could find a birth record of julys kids it would state the parents. I did write down before while researching henry hall, oras husband, her parents names. if I can find the paper. thanks for all your help
Hi Patricia,

I was editing one of my last comments at the time you posted your last one.
(I added that in 1930 Gabe was living next door to his mother Julia who married Ezekiel Brashear on 1902).

I think there is no doubt that Ezekiel Brashear was the 2nd. husband of Julia, the mother of Henry, William, Ora and Gabril.

The big question is: Who was their father?

I have found no information on Henry and Williams. Perhaps they went by his father's last name when they were adults.
the census said the kids last names were caudill and july had been married like 13 or so years so the kids would have their dads last name of caudill. it says widower and not widow. it is very confusing. thanks for helping
if the parent was born julyan caudill  (daughter of isom and Judah) and she were married then would she have married another caudill? that would  make sense because her being married would give the kids the dads last name and not hers but if they were both caudills the name would stay the same.

Patricia,

I agree with you, Julia's first husband should be a Mr. Caudill. Following this line of thought I found this certificate of dead of Bill Caudill, the son of Hiram and Julia Caudill, The record states that Bill was born in Viper about 1891. Perhaps this Bill is William that was born on 1888.

that might be william , brother of ora. I noticed the informant was bud hall. ora was married to a bud hall (henry). I think bud and ora lived later on in Manchester, clay co ky and died there I think. it said Manchester ky on there...now to find out who hiram caudill is. thanks !

You're right Patricia. Bill Caudill was living with Bud and Ora in the 1920 Census (Lines 10-16), he is listed as "Servant" instead of "Brother in law" (??).
