Did Edward Slaughter die on November 20, 1839?

I've mostly written my questions as notes on Edward Slaughter's profile page, but there seem to be a lot of Edward Slaughters in Kentucky in 1839 and two of them died the same year. Many personal family trees have different death dates, and while they're not valid source material, they do make me wonder if there's something unusual going on. Did he just leave his wife and didn't actually die or are other people's research conflating the many Edward Slaughters? Or am I starting to do the same thing. I partly want some extra expert eyes on my work. :) Thanks!
