I wanted to share this family photo of John Browne with the community. Location: Richmond Melbourne Victoria. Date: Before 1892.

Yes David he was a very learned gentleman. He was a Law clerk for a Law firm in Swanston St Melbourne. Having a father like John Browne the York artist and antiquarian who wrote many books and his lithographs were exceptional, all of John Browne snr's  children who lived picked up his traits as he passed on his knowledge to them. A very interesting film was made about John Browne snr of York telling the story of the York Minster and the work he tried to accomplish in his time on this earth. This John Browne jnr, was also an artist and his will he wrote shows part of his handywork. I am going to make a page for him with his life story including photos of his families.
