1774 R.I. Census stumper

It's been a few days since the launch of the 1774 Census of Rhode Island project,

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:1774_Rhode_Island_Census

and I've already been stumped.  In that census, there are two households in Providence with head named "William Thurber".  See, for instance, p.51 of Bartlett's transcription https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=hvd.32044058172792;view=1up;seq=5

However, I only know of one William Thurber old enough to be a head of household at the time:

Any ideas on who the other William might be would be very appreciated.

Barry,

I won't answer, since I couldn't find any answers.  I'll just comment that  I can see the same two William Thurbers on the 1774 census, and I thought I'd try to help you and hunt the second elusive William down -- but he sure hides well!

On a side note, I added a couple of category tags to a couple of my Rhode Island profiles for for your 1774 census project, but then I didn't quite understand the rest of the code that's needed to make them show up in your linked page, so I'm sorry to say I failed on the follow-through.

No problem.  If you put people in the category, I can add other links.

Gentlemen,

I did find that William Thurber was a Justices of the Peace for Providence, May 1795.

He is also listed in the Historical Catalogue of members of the First Baptist Church in Providence pg. 29

I hope this helps.
