Did you see that you can now enter GEDmatch Genesis kit IDs?

Hi WikiTreers,

Many members have posted here asking about entering GEDmatch Genesis kit IDs at https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:DNATests

We have been rejecting the Genesis IDs as invalid. You can now enter them.

The bad news is that the One-to-Many results that are automatically linked from GEDmatch IDs will not work.

More bad news but with really good news wrapped inside of it: The Genesis IDs also will not work for the direct One-to-One comparison links that we will be releasing in a few days. (I am very excited about these comparison links. More on this soon.)

GEDmatch does plan to merge the Genesis database with the main database soon.

Onward and upward,

Chris

Thanks for adding this function. Unfortunately, when I click on a Gedmatch Genesis ID on somebody's profile here, I get sent to the regular Gedmatch site, and after I log in I see an error message that says:

Kit number [_______] not found in public DNA database.
Did you forget the letter prefix for your kit number ('T' for FTDNA, 'M' for 23andMe, 'A' for Ancestry.Com)?
If you have just uploaded your data, please allow a few days for batch processing to complete.
Halt.

That doesn't make WikiTree look good.

For Gedmatch Genesis IDs (two letters followed by 7 digits), would it be possible to add links to https://genesis.gedmatch.com instead of gedmatch.com? For an example of the URL format, the one-to-many-compare URL for my Genesis record (same data that I have in regular Gedmatch) is https://genesis.gedmatch.com/v_OneToMany2.php?kit=EP9026105
