I found 2 profiles with the unusual name of "Enoch Death Morse"

which I think might be the same person. On FamilySearch the census records does not indicate "Death" as his name.

Perhaps someone can she some light on this name.

It's a surname in England.  I think it's pronounced Deeth.
It is generally spelled De’ath.

This looks like him as he served in the War of 1812 (1812-1815) out of Ohio.
