Quebecois Template did not put profiles in Pending category

Question

There were two dozen profiles in the [[Special:Wantedcategories]] named [[Category:XXX]] (which does not exist). When I investigated, they had the following template {{Quebecois|XXX}} which put them into [[Category:XXX]] and did not put them into the [[Category:Quebecois]].

So I updated all 24+ profiles to {{Quebecois|Pending Category}} per the notes on the [[Category:Quebecois Project Pending Category]] page. This put them into the [[Category:Quebecois]], but not into the  [[Category:Quebecois Project Pending Category]].

This profile is one of them.

not sure about the template format, but if you use the Category format seems to work better.  In any case, the more appropriate one for that is the unsourced category.  Which I have put in.

 

Guy, templates for these appear odd and non-functional.  Please check them.

 {{Quebecois|Pending Category}} does nothing and defaults to [[Category:Quebecois]].

If you want to assign any category, you can use {{Quebecois|category=XXX}}

If you want to use one of the needs categories, you can use 

{{Quebecois|needs=XXX}} which will add [Category:Quebecois Project Needs XXX]

Category: Quebecois Project Pending Category is an old category from before Needs parameter was added to all projects. Also instructions on that category are outdated. 

You probably want {{Quebecois|needs=Categories}} which would be added to [Category:Quebecois Project Needs Categories] or something similar.
