Am I a Mayflower Passenger Descendant?

I just found out I am a 4th cousin 7 times removed from President John Adams, Adams-10. On his profile page, it says he descends from Mayflower passengers, John Alden and William Mullins. Would I also descend from these ancestors, and how can I verify this? Thanks!

I found your relationship to John Adams by using Relationship Finder. Your common ancestor with John Adams is Anne (Browne) Hutchinson Hawkes. She was a contemporary of some of the Mayflower passengers, but she did not immigrate on the Mayflower.

You might be a Mayflower descendant, but your shared ancestry with John Adams does not include a Mayflower passenger. As you build out other branches of your maternal ancestry, maybe you'll stumble upon another Mayflower ancestor!
