Why doesn't Mariah (Proffitt) Gray's mother not show up on Mairah's relationship chart with me?

This makes Sylvester the grandfather of Mariah.

3. Martha is the daughter of Thomas Eli Profitt [confident]
4. Thomas is the son of Stephen Sewell Profitt [confident]
5. Stephen is the son of Sarah Elizabeth Proffitt [confident]
6. Sarah is the daughter of Sylvester Proffitt II [confident]
This makes Sylvester the fourth great grandfather of David.

From the attachment's to her father's (William) profile, evidence exists to connect him to Joseph Jackson, my 6th great grandfather.  In any case, the relationship connection for Rebecca (Jackson) Fairchild doesn't show up as an alternative connection on my connection with Mariah (Proffitt) Gray.

Basically it's because Mariah has two lines of descent from Joseph Jackson, so it picks one - but on the one it picks, Joseph isn't the nearest common ancestor with you.

So he disappears from the menu, even though he would be the MRCA by the other route.
