This is my great grandfather, known by us as Sam/Samuel A O Jones, who was said to have had another wife before he married  my great grandmother Josie P Baucom. He is said to be kin to the Ross/Roux family of Hamilton,Florida(Dna is proving this to be true)and also he is kin to the Lovetts/Lovitts.supposedly his mother was Rebecca Lovitt.. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Additonal info: Sam worked as a gunsmith,a locksmith, did electrical wiring in Mississippi in the late 1800s or early 1900s.,he was shot and killed in his Gunshop in 1913.His descendants have been searching for 30 + years for his family. He had brilliant green eyes. He was a Mason, and a member of Woodworkers of America. His father was supposedly an attorney. And,he had an older  half brother, who used the name J C Jones, that is also a mystery man.  Thanks for any info!

Thank you Frank,we have this record. His wife Josie had that stone made, using the only name she knew for him. He also used the alias of Marshall in one census. Really appreciate you responding. (I manage his find a grave, lol. )

Thank you,we have this census record, and have no idea why the surname Marshall was used instead of Jones. Sure do appreciate the input tho! Using dna to sort him out,but keep hitting dead ends.
