Why won't it accept my Gr Grandma

Why won't WikiTree let me create a profile for my Great Grandmother ?

I have some dates, and a citation from Family Search.

There is one person who is suggested as a possible match

but I don't think she is a match. The family seems to have used the

surname Cardigan in the Census but their name was actually Kerrigan.

Is it showing as a duplicate? Just trying to see if I understand your question.

Were you trying to add a spouse for Joseph Kerrigan?

Are you getting edit conflicts? If so, save the changes on the profile you have open. Then create the new profile. I had this problem recently.

It looks like you have a profile for her now, Isabel.  If you have trouble with anything else, please come back to this forum with a question.  There are a lot of very knowledgeable volunteers willing to help.
