Can we put a NEXT button at the top of a list?

Question

If it is not too difficult, is it possible to place a Next on pages where this is already at the bottom right, at the top right as well?

And what about a "directory or page header" similiar to a dictionary so that we can sort through without going to the bottom of the page, maybe with dates or if it is a name search which is limited to X number (SMITH, Johan through John)?

I don't know how hard this can be, but if it's not, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Nae,

Putting a next button at the top of a list would be easy. It's really just a graphic design question, i.e. the only reason we wouldn't do it is because it's presumed you've reached the bottom of a list before you want to page forward. We're always trying to avoid cluttering pages too much.

Which list are you talking about?

Creating an index of search results is quite a bit more complicated.

P.S. It's often possible to manipulate a URL by hand to get it to display results that are further forward. For example, http://www.wikitree.com/index.php?title=Special:Surname&s=SMITH&limit=1000&start=2000 would show me 1,000 Smiths, starting with the 2,000th, i.e. the third page if I were paging forward. I could change the 2000 to a 10000 to see the 11th page.

Well, initially I was looking at the volunteer page where the mentor group is going forward two weeks and a month.  Also in consideration for someone who has disabilities and tries to eliminate any unneccessary movement.

This would also apply to perhaps the proposed merge page or photo pages where there are multiple pages like project photo  picture pages.
