William C. Collins and family

Question

I have tried to find more information on William C. Collins and his family.  My mom had, in her family tree program, a spouse by the name of Ann.  That is all she had.  I have found marriage records for an Ann Ferguson, (Fergusson), and William C. Collins and a child in the 1860 census, aged 2 by the name of Cordelia.  After that, nothing.

I can not find them in the 1870 census' anywhere.  Which led me to think maybe William died during the Civil War, if he fought at all.

I have searched for Cordelia, using Delia and any other nickname I can think of, she doesn't even turn up.  Her name is not quite as common as William and Ann, so thought I would give it a try.

Does anyone have any information about this family?  I'd appreciate any insight.  Thanks!

Did you already have William located on the 1850 Rhea County Tennessee census?  It is interesting because a large family of Fergusons is living next door. William C is 17, and his father is not accounted for. (I'm pretty sure it's the right family because of the name Blueford among William's siblings. I hadn't seen that name before.

I know I'm looking back in time instead of forward, but wondered if you did have this.

Yes, I do have him on the 1850 census.  I did see the family with Bluford, forgot it was even there.  Thanks for the reminder.  As for the Ferguson family, heck, I didn't even notice that Reba!!!  Very happy you pointed it out to me.

I saw this marriage and the one for Ann Ferguson.  My mom had Ann in her family tree program which is the one I think he married.  However, I am not positive as I do not have my mother's research notes, only the program she used to enter everything.  I have this one noted too.  (Not on his profile, in my tree)  Thank you!
