he died i think in carter co tn. his parents- Thomas ward and Bessie Harrison. he died feb 19 1975. his full name john Washington ward. his parents called him johnny

Given privacy laws, it is probable that the only parties who could acquire such a death certificate would be relatives of the deceased. The exception is when government entities require such certificate, one must acquire a request from the entity in order to obtain the certificate.

You could possibly find a death notice/obituary from a newspaper or online funeral home site if you know where he died.
