Scranton Family Genealogy - finding a book

+3 votes
Does anyone know where to find a copy of Scranton Family Genealogy by Doris Ernst? Probably Buffalo, Wright County, Minnesota.

I’ve seen some online references to this and it appears to cite good sources. I’d like to pull together the full family story. This might have insight about siblings moving from Connecticut, and help resolve duplicate and similar given names.

I would try contacting a public library in Wright Co, Minnesota. They may have local genealogies.

That’s my backup. Of course there might be an inter library loan. I was hoping someone on WikiTree might have this. I’ve also contacted an Ancestry DNA match who used this in their tree. Between that and a probable exact same name (middle name Ellsworth) shared by my grandfather and the folks who moved to Minnesota it sure looks like the same family. I can probably glean some good sources from a RootsWeb tree that used this and has lots of sources. Sometimes these books have some interesting family stories; guess I need to look for local histories too.

Can you hear my husband groaning in the background as I start thinking about the RV trip (1400 miles one way) to visit.....
Good luck ...:o)
