Can we show qualifications "before", etc. on dates during a merge

I proposed a merge a couple of months back, no one responded, and then right at the one month mark someone slipped in and rejected the merge, saying "different birth dates".

I was pretty annoyed with that person, since birth date gave an exact date in 1753, and the other said "before 1768", which are clearly not in conflict.

So I re-proposed the merge, and this time I was able to initiate the merge after one month.  I was surprised in the comparison table that it showed one birth date as "1753" and the other as "1768" -- no indication that one was an exact date, not to mention the qualification that the other was "before 1768".  My annoyance was transferred from the person who rejected the earlier merge to the person who coded this merge table.

Also, IIRC correctly, the comment I left on the profile about why the merge shouldn't have been rejected wasn't displayed.

So, this post is a request to the Wikitree Powers that Be to include the additional information concerning dates in the merge table so we can make more accurate comparisons.  It would also be good to have a mechanism to extract previous comments concerning mergers and display them.  Perhaps this could be done by telling people to begin a comment with "Merge:" if it should be displayed during futher merger proposals.

Good idea, Barry. I'll add it to our list for future merge improvements. Thanks!

Great, thanks!  (BTW, I edited the original post with a second suggestion about comments.)
Hey, I just saw the new merge page.  I think it's much improved!  Thanks!
