I recentely found an old picture of my x great uncle and his family during ww2, i alwags thought a joung boy to his right was his, but my great aunt in a recent visit told me he was actually a Jewish boy who was being kept safe by the family, all i know about this child is that he went by Piet.
His "dad" was Riekelt de Boer born in 1906 in Velsen and died in 1993 in Velsen,
His "mother" was Jannetje Guijlt, who was born in 1907 and died in 2006, he had two brothers, gerrit and Jaap, and a sister whos name might be Jannie, but this might just be referring to the mother.
His grandparents on his fathers side was Gerrit de Boer (1863-1930) and Jannetje Bakker (1867-1930).
I can find info on everyone but the children.
Anything would be nice, i am planning to contact my great aunt to see if she knows anything or anyone who might.
This family resided in Velsen/IJmuiden and had other relatives in Urk
I do have profiles of the parents but arent fully sourced yet, but the dates do seem
to be correct
