I thought loading my GEDCOM meant I did not have to reenter all my family tree. Did I miss something?

With Gedcompare, you don't need to re-enter the data that's contained in your Gedcom. We are asked to import information from our Gedcoms one person at a time, but if the Gedcom information is OK, that should go pretty quickly.

What problem have you encountered?

Welcome to G2G forum Patricia.

You add your family from your GEDCOM file to WikiTree using the newly released (Sep 2017) GEDCOMpare tool.

Please see the following help page:

You can find your GEDCOMpare report here:

If your Gedcom covers the trees on both parents sides, then perhaps you still need to manually connect your parents (which you appear to have entered  manually) to your grandparents from the GEDCOM.

Once you do that, and also allow 24 hours to pass, the rest of the tree should show up.  Wikitree servers do their backups once a day - usually overnight - and that includes processing all the new connections that have been made that day.
