GEDCOMpare has problem when father married twice

My gedcom file names both parents, even if their father has been married twice.  However, when adding a child from the GEDCOMpare page, the ADD does not know which mother.  The page wants ME to decide which mother.  This is an easily overlooked decision, and if overlooked, no mother will be assigned.  This only happens when a father has more than one wife.  Again, my gedcom names BOTH parents.

This is the same way that the standard "Add Parent" protocol works when we create new profiles manually. I agree, however, that it would be nice if the connection in the Gedcompare could be recorded.

If you open the Compare screen for the mother's profile, it should offer you a chance to add the child -- and if the mother had only this one husband, only that husband will be offered to you as a father.

Regardless of that, when I'm working with a Gedcompare file, I usually keep the tree that generated the Gedcompare open so I can verify details like this one.

I find this frustrating too. The information is there in the GEDCOM, so ideally it should autofill the radio button by the wife that the GEDCOM has as the mother.

I've added this to our list of possible GEDCOMpare improvements. Thanks!
