The parental attachment to 1600s parents is simply way off by centuries. I cannot find any match for Gerardus.
Because the dates on Gerardus are so preicse, it makes the most sense for me to simply detach him from these parents. He will then need research to find out what he really belongs to instead. I don't see any reason to preserve any links to the old parents, since they are so far removed that they may even be from a completely unrelated family.
