Trying to identify the father of Margaret Louise "Lula" Mathews b. 1884 Logan Co. KY

Also has a sister, Flora Cornelia Mathews, born 1888 in Missouri or Kansas.

May also have an older sister who married a Mr. Clark and lived in Tampa FL in the 1890's.

Mother's name at the time of her DEATH in 1899 in Nashville, TN, was Maggie Smith.

Lula and Flora married brothers named Bess (Orvan Luster Bess and Andrew Jackson Bess) in Nashville, TN.

The first names are so right but I don't believe this is the family I am looking for. Maggie (mother) had died in 1899 and Flora was in an orphanage in Nashville in the 1900 census. Lula was living with her future in-laws, also in Nashville, in the 1900 census.

Thanks. This is one is hard because I don't know Maggie Smith's maiden name or birth info, and many of the relevant facts (marriages, birth of children, death of Maggie, etc.) seem to have happened between the 1880 and 1900 censuses. I also don't have an explanation for the migration from KY to KS/MO and then back to TN.

I am new to Wikitree and am going to try to create profiles for some of these people.
