I found him on 1860 and 1870 Census in Vigo Co. Indiana. I have his Marriage and Tax Asses and Civil War Draft info as well. All in Vigo and Sullivan Counties in Indiana. But No idea where he started out from in Ohio.

His wife Elizabeth Johnson was from Indiana. They were married in Vigo Co Indiana in 1843.

All of their children we Born in either Vigo Co Indiana  or Sullivan Co Indiana.Their Children were::

Theodore b 1846, Daniel b 1847, D Lynch b 1849, Jobe b 1851, Sarah J b1855, Mary A b 1860, Elizabeth b1864 and Lou b 1869.

The 1860 Census also has an Amanda Patton b 1839 in Indiana. I have to think this was a blood relative to Richard. Possibly a sister. I have not been able to locate any Birth records in Ohio for Richard. NONE of his children lived in OHIO.

Thanks but that couldn't be my Richard. His children were all born in Indiana in the counties of Vigo and Sullivan. He was married in Vigo Co IN 1843 to Eliz Johnson also of Indiana.

Their children are all born in Indiana.

Theodore b 1846, Daniel b 1847, D Lynch b 1849, Jobe b 1851, Sarah J b 1855,

Mary A b 1860, Elizabeth b 1864 and Lou b 1866.

It it appears that Richard had a sibling or other blood relative living with them on 1860 census named Amanda Patton b 1839.
