New Netherland settler to merge: Simon Aertszen Dehart-150

+6 votes

Simon Aertszen van der Hard of Nieuwkoop has a duplicate that needs to be merged:

These are believed to be the same person as they share connections and dates. He was not a de Hart but became one when the de Harts and the van der Hards were conflated. That's being sorted out. The family did later use de Hart.

Simon was baptized without a surname but he didn't appear with a name other than his patronymic until later. He first appears in New Netherland church records using his patronymic of Aertszen, which would be his LNAB under New Netherland Settlers naming conventions.

Are there any issues or concerns? If not I'll change the LNAB to Aertszen and merge the duplicate in 30 days.

I've finally followed up on this. I changed the LNAB to Aertszen and proposed the merge.
