Orkney-5 Margaret Hakonsdottir of Orkney and

Hakonsdatter-2 Margaret (Hakonsdatter) Countess of Atholl

need merging. But unable to do so because both are Protected Projects.

Married to the same man

daughters of the same parents.

Whichever one has the wrong last name needs to be unlocked by a Supervisor. Then the merge can continue.

I'm not sure which one is the current last name in this case: Orkney or Hakonsdatter. I'd guess the latter is correct, but this should be discussed amongst the profile managers first.

I have tried without  success to open these and other profiles in similar situations for merging.  I have used both the supervisor power and the profile buttons. The lock appears to be in the white open position, but even after refesing the page, the LNAB and/or PPP cannot be changed, thus the merge cannot be done.  Does an arborist need to releae the lock?
Protecting and unprotecting profiles is a Supervisor power. You'll see it on the edit tab, in the top right, above the Edit Family section.
I have done that, but whenever I do an action, it locks itself again.  So, if I am trying to merge two PPP's, I get caught in a loop.  Perhaps, it is my server, google.  Should I try Firefox, or another?  MINUTES LATER:  It worked!  I don;t really know how, but success this time.
I have no idea what the problem was you were having, but I'm glad it's working now! :)
