Trying to trace Mahalia or Mahala Gates Maried Enoch Bayless 1839-1842

Question

Mahala Gates:  Wife of Enoch Baylis was born to one of the pioneer families of Franklin Co. Indiana and married Enoch Baylis in 1830-1842.  They farmed in the county and Decatur Co. Indiana in 1867 and after being widowed in 1865-1866 moved family to Kinmundy Illionis in 1867.

Trying to trance her family tree; she in my Great Great Gandmother.

!850 Census:  Enoch W. Baylis & Mahala and 3 children , John,Sarah A, Jacob A.

Look at orriginal census document,he is a blacksmith.Sand Creek, Decatur Indiana.

1860 Census still in Sand Creek, with 5 children.Found them using Jacob Baylis

Bayles name.

1880 Census Jacob Ballis,his son also a blacksmith,marries Kinigunde

has 3 children,he did not move to Illinois with mother.

According to Hartmann,Hardman, Dameron,Family Tree on Ancestry . Com

Mahala died in Kinmundy,Marion Illinois ,Jan 22 1869. I have never found this

record.I do not know who she lived with in Illinois.
