Shared Photo: 1920 United States Federal Census

Question

I am trying to clarify Clara (Dolbear) Harris' maiden name.  Her mother is listed as living with the family in the 1920 census.  (Johnnie Harris is the husband of Clara in the 1920 census)  The last name is kinda iffy, I just wanted to see if someone else thinks it is Dolbear?  Clara's mother's first name is Georgia.  I am trying to find out more info about Georgia, but not getting any where.  Thought maybe it is because of the last name?  Haven't found a marriage record or any death records yet that might help.

It looks like it is either Dolbear or Dolbeas.

Thanks, Belinda, I thought Dolbear myself.  Can't find anything.  Sigh...will keep looking.  Thanks for taking the time to try to decipher it. :)

I found Clara and her mother, in the 1900 census, Belinda, at least I now have the name of Clara's father!!  Maybe I will find more information!.  :)

I would agree that it is Dolbear.  If you look at other entries, that is how he writes a name that ends in 'r'

I think it is Dolbear too, Ros!  I had tried different spellings trying to find them.  Nothing.  When I tried to find Georgia and a husband with the last name of Dolbear nothing came up.  (I had no first name for him at all and only Georgia's married name)  Finally just tried finding census with that name. Thanks for taking the time to look.  I appreciate it.
