Also spelled Lycett and quite a few other spellings.  James Lysaght (spelled Lysaught on the ship's manifest) and family immigrated to Boston from Galway June 1892 aboard the "Austrian".  Other family members have been located but have only bits and pieces about James (born abt 1853 in Cork) married to Mary Hynes born 1858 in Loughrea Galway.  Any help would be appreciated.

If you go to "Find" and drop down to "People: Search" , then go to #2 for Surname Search, and enter the surname, you should find 11 with the Lysaght surname.  At least two are from counties in Ireland. An alternative spelling is shown as well.

 familysearch.org/search  showed this: familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/N4F3-5JN  familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/NWMX-KMF familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FGDG-KG7 familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/N4FL-Y4Q

There's more at that site, if you want to check them out.

Thanks so much but I already have this info.  What I am really looking for is a record of his death.  I should have been more specific.

The family believes he lived into his 80's or 90's and died in either PA., NY or MA.  I have come up empty on nearly every website.  We do know he used the name Lycett, Lycette etc since he was illiterate upon his arrival in the U.S.  His children mostly retained the Lysaght spelling.  His wife Mary died in 1894, 2 years after his arrival.  He had 6 children with one on the way.  That child was born in Boston shortly after their arrival and in late 1892.  I have been fortunate to find most of the other family members but we fear he was arrested for a robbery in 1908 in Boston and may have served jail time.  There is so little out there on prisoners.
