Where did Richard Sweeney come from before Maryland.

Question

Richard Sweeney had a brother named Paul.  Richard was a chair maker & Paul made cabinets.  Richard had a son David who married Francis Bartleson.  Would like to get more info on Richard & Paul's parents and where they lived or if they came from Ireland or other.  I believe Richard was born somewhere in the middle 1700's.  David his son moved to PA and died there.

My Sweeney's came from Wexford, Ireland to Placentia, Newfoundland in the mid 1700's

I am interested in hearing more details about your Newfoundland Sweeney family and the connection to Wexford. I can trace my family back to 1770 on the Avalon Peninsula.

Richard was born at Broad Creek Hundred, Harford county, Maryland. His father's name was David. Richard's grandfather's name was also David and I believe lived on the same property----possibility the one who settled there
