Jacob Emmon who married Abigail?

I'm trying to find my Great Grandmother Helen Emmons Taylor's family. I believe it to be Jacob and Abigail who settled in Nebraska  before the Civil War. Their son's I believe fought for Illinois as they had livec in Peoria, Illinois. If anyone else is studying this family please let me know. thanks

Just checking in. I had my DNA done on Ancestry and so far nothing to help me with confirming my Eamon or Emmon connection. I did get a note from an orphange that is interesting and does talk about Jacob Eamon and Abigail and my Grandfather and his brother living with them in Nebraska and late in Ill with their Uncle Wm or James. Would love to get more info on the family. Thanks.
