I have a FamilySearch created for Mark Scott: LYNJ-5LQ

For the life of me I can't see any records naming Mark Scott's parents. Any help is appreciated.

Frank, That is not the correct Mark Scott. According to his profile the man we are looking for married Margaret Charlton in Newcastle on 19 Sept 1807. This is their marriage record.

David, What is the reason for your estimate of 1783 as birth year? Have you considered this baptism in 1787 in Longbenton? Parents are James and Sarah.

I agree with Lynda.  The mother Sarah's maiden name is Welsh.  See the following marriage that I have posted also.  Hope this is correct.

I searched on Freereg. Note that there are so many Scott entries at Longbenton that I had to search within dates . (including a Thomas Charlton and a Mary Scott in 1808
