Pre-1700 certification to upload GEDCOM?

Question

make a post in G2G and include PRE-1700, PROJECTS and LEADERS tags.

Okay.  I tried to do a GEDCOM upload and it said I needed to join??? the Pre-1700 group???  I am so lost...

Welcome to wikitree. Appears what it actually might be saying is that you have to become pre-1700 Certified You can Self Certify here  Pre-Certification However for more information please check out  Pre-1700 Profiles

To expand on what Steve wrote, you are probably seeing the notice that says in order to create or edit profiles for people born before 1700, whether through a GEDCOM or otherwise, you need Pre-1700 Certification.
