In addition to the steps mentioned by Gaile and Kathleen, it would be a good idea, in the source citation, to show the name, publication date, and page numbers(s) of the newspaper that published the article, if you have that (in addition to the web site URL). In the event of a future broken link, others would then still know where to find the info. It appears that archives of old newspapers are likely to remain with us forever, in some form or another.
