Can you help to straight out profiles for Beriah Smith and Bethiah Smith ?

Question

Which one married Joshua Stoddard and which one married Richard Fox ? Perhaps the ''Richard Smith of Wethersfield'' article in  ''American Genealogist'' Vol 25 page 127 has the info but need subscription to access it.

1. Beriah was b. c. 1657, d. 1727, m. Richard Fox, b. 1642, d. Glastonbury 31 March 1708/9 ae. abt. 67. (no children mentioned in this article.)

2. Bethia was b. c. 1660, d. at Wethersfield, between 19 and 28 April 1725, m. at Wethersfield 16 August 1684 Joshua Stoddard, b. 12 Sep. 1648, d. before 7 Sep. 1725. Bethia and Joshua had no children, she made a verbal will leaving a bequest to her cousin Dorothy Smith, dau. of her brother Benjamin of Glastonbury. Distribution was made her her siblings; Samuel, Joseph, Benjamin, Beriah Fox, and the heirs of Ester Strickland.

Their grandfather was Richard Smith of England, d. Glastonbury. His wife was Rebecca (?Buswell?).

Their parents were Richard Smith, b. England, d. Glastonbury and Mary Weed.

The article is mostly concerned with male descendants and does not give much info on any  females. I will leave the article open in case you have other questions about the parents or grandparents.

Hi Sheila ... from one of Joshua's sources ... the John Stoddard and his descendants book ... note that Joshua had a twin, Caleb.  Also note that some of the dates here disagree with those from Jeanie.  Oh, and also ... W. is the abbreviation for Wethersfield, b. for born, m. for married but I bet you could have figured that out.

father.
5. IV. JOSHUA', (twin) b. W., Sept. 12, 1648 ; m. W., Aug. 15,
1680, "Bethia his wife." Goodwin says she was Bethia Smith, dau.
of Richard Smith of W. He d. about 1725, and his wife about the
same time, s. p. His estate was distributed Aug. 2, 1726, to the heirs
of his brothers and sisters. Her estate was distributed July 13, 1725,
to her brothers and sisters, Samuel Smith, Joseph Smith, Benjamin
Smith, Beriah Fox, and Hester Strickland's heirs.
