Searching for Botha-3450 Parents

Question

Theodorus Ernst Botha (Botha-3450) was my grandfather. He was born in 1884.

 I have difficulty to link his profile, as the sibling information that my father gave me, does not link due to dates that do not match.

Some of his siblings were, Jacobus Petrus Botha, Sarie (Botha) Herbst, Nicolaas Botha, Sannie Labuschagne. They were born between 1832 - 1852, which indicates a year gap of more than 30 years.

(Botha-303), (Botha-3525) - how do I delete them?

Hello Elma, We cannot delete profiles on Wikitree. You can edit any errors as long as you have sources to support the new information you want to add. If an individual has two existing profiles then we resolve that by merging them and then cleaning up any duplicate or conflicting information in the merged profile.

My father told me what his aunts and uncles names were: I have searched these names, but could not match them due to the 30 year difference in the birth dates. (As referred in question).

My grandfather,  Theodorus Ernst Botha's eldest son was Jacobus Petrus Botha.

(My father was Johannes Jurgens Potgieter Botha - named after the Potgieter family.)

My grandfather also had a brother named Jacobus Petrus (known by myself as Groot Oom, and others as oom Koot). They all lived in the Piet Retief.

There were however cousins with the same names - hence the confusion onmy side.

My father told me that his father (grandfather?) wsd a cousin of Generaal Louis Botha.

Die persone wat ek nagegaan het, pas juis nie in by my oupa nie. Slegs die persone se name lyk bekend, maar die geboorte datums pas nie in by my oupa se geboorte datum nie.

Die Bothas bly maar 'n moelike lyn om op te los. Ek het nog so paar plekke om te soek. Het jy dalk enige idee met wie sy broers en susters getroud was?

Die een suster se naam was "Sarie" moontlik Susarah getroud met Herbst. Die ander suster "Sannie" moontlik Susanna was getroud met Labuschagne. Ek dink sy het iewers in Germiston by haar kinders gebly. Ek was baie klein toe ons eendag by hulle gekuier het.

Theodorus Ernst Botha was 'n krygsgevangene in die 2de Vryheidsoorlog (Ceylon).Hy het aanvanklik in Wakkerstroom gebly as jong man, getroud met Isabella Cornelia Potgieter - gewoon op Plaas Kromdraai Rustplaats distrik, Piet Retief  waar sy eerste vrou(Isabella) begrawe is.

Daarna is hy toe getroud met Maria Elisabet (Potgieter) *8-1-1905 - 15-2-1989 oorlede. Sy het geen kinders gehad nie, maar die vier jonste kinders van sy eerste vrou help groot maak. Hulle het op Piet Retief gebly.

Volgens die notas wat ek geneem het van my pa soos oorvertel, die volgende;

Hy was die tweede kind van vyf kinders - Jacobus Petrus Botha, Theodorus Ernst Botha (my oupa), Sarie Herbst, Nicolaas Botha, en Sannie Labuschagne.

Die vermoede is: sy pa was Jacobus Petrus Botha (neef van Genl Louis Botha) en sy ma moontlik Susanna van Rensburg. Geen leidrade of bewyse nie.

Verder het ek geen ander inligting nie.
