In Wade Hampton Borin's marriage certificate, he certifies that his father and mother were John and Caroline Borin.  His father was not Oliver Burden.

If you made a request of the profile manager several months ago, without any changes, you might want to look at this: Page  https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Problems_with_Members

Depending on the response you had received, you could choose  a link from that page such as Unresponsive Profile Managers  or Mentor Intervention Request

That's a question you'd have to ask Dave Dardinger, the profile manager. The marriage certificate has been posted to Find A Grave, and it does in fact recite John and Caroline Borin as his parents. It would seem that an error from an ancestry.com family tree may have been carried over to WikiTree. I'm sure Dave would be happy to correct the profile after reviewing the marriage certificate.

Unfortunately, I already told Dave about the needed correction several months ago.  Is there a manager at WikiTree I could talk to?

In the 1850 census, Oliver is living with John and Caroline, by 1854 Oliver and Caroline have a child named Sarah....I think this is the reason for the confusion.

Thank you Robin.  I already knew about the 1850 and 1860 census.  The John Jr. listed in the 1850 census is 10 years old, obviously not the John who is the father of Wade.  Wade is 7 in that census.  In the 1860 census, John Jr. is 19 and Wade is 17.  Those two are the sons of John and Caroline Borin.  The other children in that census are the children of Oliver and Caroline, and are Burdens.  Wade and John Jr. are Borins.   I wasn't clear with my question.  I'm trying not to be rude, but I want to know why Dave does not correct his WikiTree post.  Again, the proof is Wade's marriage certificate, in which he lists his parents as John and Caroline Borin.

"United States Census, 1850," database with images, FamilySearch(https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M8QK-BNT : 12 April 2016), Wade H Burden in household of Jack Burden, Pickens county, Pickens, South Carolina, United States; citing family 840, NARA microfilm publication M432 (Washington, D.C.: National Archives and Records Administration, n.d.).   Not referring to John Jr, I was referring to "Jack".
