Searching my mom Pamela Claire Thompson . Born Pamela claire Johnson on April 9, 1946 in Belding Michigan . Ferris Thompson Adopted her . They lived in Fenwick Michigan

Who her birth parents were ?  It states her given name at birth .! Dates are wrong on her court papers .

I can't find her birth record either on a brief search. It might be the case that her record is protected in some way.

If your longer term goal is to find birth relatives, autosomal DNA testing is an alternative route, but by no means certain you would find close ones.

If you want to test I'd suggest the order

1. A child of your mother (has half of her DNA)
2. Someone on your father's side of the family, as closely related to your father as possible (people who match this person aren't from your mother's side, hopefully.)
3. Optionally, another child of your mother (has a different random half of your mother's DNA, so might match a few extra relatives)

You will most likely get somewhat distant cousins of her parents and have to work out how they are related.
