Possibly deleting my family tree and starting again

Hi There

I have a real issue with my family tree. Most of the mistakes happened when I started but now I have duplicates of relatives and now people who are siblings of themselves. I am unsure how to fix this and am wondering if it is worth deleting my tree and starting again. I tried a GEDCOM and this has just added to my confusion and once matched has also added duplicates of other persons.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Kerry, I am sorry but you can't delete your family tree. The best thing to do is to ask for a mentor,

Go to the oldest pair of duplicates and merge them. You should then merge their duplicate children. After you complete a merge, the biography and headings of each person will be duplicated so you will need to edit those. It's the only way to do it.

If I can have one "Do Over" it would be not to upload a Gedcom.

You have not yet uploaded too many profiles so it is possible to fix. It will be worth it in the end.
