Anyone have information about Joseph Lane Guest and family from Arkansas.

I am searching for info for my GGf, Joseph Lane GUEST (b. abt 1861 Russellville, AR, d. 1888). His 2nd marriage 9/16/1883 to L. Jane Sullivan (b. 1863- ?) produced two children - my Grandmother Minnie Pearl GUEST (b. 6/22/1890-2/6/1978 Pope County, AR) and her brother Luther William (1883-1942). Minnie married 6/22/1909 John Martin HOLMES (b. 5/2/1889-11/29/1948).

Joseph Lane's 1st marriage was 7/24/1881 Sarah A. Mooney (b. 1861 d. 1882), they had a daughter, Mary Guest (b. 1882 d. 1974). Sarah most likely died during or shortly after giving birth to Mary. Our family believes Mary might've been raised by other relatives since Joseph remarried so soon after Sarah's death. My Grandmother did not know about Mary until decades later when they located each other and lived together until Mary's death in 1974.

His parents, William Wesley GUEST (b. 11/23/1840 Cass County, GA-1899) & Rachel WESTON (b. May 1838 Indiana) were married 11/6/1859 in Pope County, Arkansas.

Other family members:

-Moses Holland GUEST (b. 10/11/1811 Marietta, GA d. 1/4/1887 Center Valley, Pope, Arkansas) /Sarah Minerva "Sally" TURNER (b. 1/19/1816 Georgia, d. 3/29/1899 Russellville, AR)

-Nathaniel Allen GUEST (b. 10/13/1785 Wilkes, North Carolina

d. 7/18/1841 Pickens, South Carolina/Mary HOLLAND (b. 1784 South Carolina d. 7/18/1841 Pickens, South Carolina)

-William GUEST, Jr. (b. 12/30/1762 Frederick, Virginia d. 7/8/1841 Pendleton District, Pickens, South Carolina) /Anna ALLEN (b. 5/3/1760 Frederick, Virginia d. 9/4/1845 Pendleton, Anderson, South Carolina)

       -William GUEST, Sr. (b. 1725 d. 6/5/1801 Pendleton, Anderson, South Carolina) /Susannah HOWARD (b. 1730 Virgina d. 1795  Pendleton, Anderson, South Carolina)

Any information you can provide would be most appreciated.

Here's a couple of interesting items

In the1870 and 1880 Census, Joseph and his Brother, William are living with their mother, Rachel.  No father...wonder if he passed in the Civil War?    Also in 1880, Elizabeth Weston b. 1867 was living with them.   Relationship says "home" whatever that meant.

I have also found and validated the marriage information you have.  I can do some more research for you if you have  specific things you are looking for...

Just found this note on a family tree at Ancestry

Lane Guest married S. A. Mooney and she became pregnant. She died in childbirth. Guest was a single man with a newborn baby and didn't know what to do. He gave the child to Mooney's family and they raised the girl. Guest remarried. He and L. J. Sullivan had two children - Minnie Pearl and Luther William. Minnie and Luther knew they had a half-sister but never interacted with her until much later in life. Mary married Tom Lawson and they lived in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Minnie found Mary around 1955. Tom died in the late 1950's and Mary came to North Little Rock and lived with Minnie until her death in 1974

If you'd like, I can send your email to the person that wrote the note...

I have tried to find my information from two years ago, but, no luck, sorry.
