Lemon's administration papers list Levi Edwards as a debtor? (Lemon owed him money.) Who is Levi?
That's Lemon Gray. Sorry about that.
Some interesting info here:

Believe "Lemmon" Edwards may have been the son of Levi Edwards and Margaret "Peggy" Joyner.Margaret was previously married to Duncan Lamon(s). Believe Duncan died about 1823, possibly Nash County, NC.Duncan's parents were Archibald Lamon and Olive Ruffin.

The Lamons' name evolved into many spellings, especially as their large families moved west into Tennessee - research has found them as Lemon, Lemmons, Lammon, etc.
Believe your "Lemmon" Edwards may have originally been "Lamon" Edwards.

One researcher has your "Lemmon Ruffin" as "Lemmon Gray" Edwards.Archibald and Olive Lamon also had a son Gray Lamon and a daughter, Olive Ruffin Lamon.

Also, other researchers have Levi Edwards' wife as "Celia" Joyner.Unknown if "Celia" and Margaret "Peggy" were the same person or if these two may have been sisters - but I believe they were the same person.

Have the following records on Levi and Margaret:
Nash County Marriage Records Levi Edwards and Margaret Lamon married 5 Nov 1827, bm, Kinchen Edwards, (w) Wy. Blount

Nash County Deed Book 11, page 440: Abstract dated 11 Feb 1823. Margaret Lamon was wife of Duncan Lamon.
Nash County Deed Book 12-page 291: Abstract, dated 30 July 1828. Margaret Edwards was formerly wife of Duncan Lamon. (Levi & Margaret married 5 Nov 1827)
State of North Carolina Nash County: "Know all men by these presents that I Archibald Lamon, do hereby for myself and my heirs assign all my wright title and interest in one negro man named Dublin the wright & title of which is now fully vested in me to Duncan York, Dempsey Harrison & Edwin York. Also to the following negroes to wit: Buck, Jim, Sie, Bert & Oilet after the death of MARGARET EDWARDS, late MARGARET LAMON, who has her lifetime interest in said negroes and after her death the wright & title would have been fully vested in me. This assignment is made to the above named persons and their heirs jointley to be divided in the same proportions that each has paid or may have to pay as security for one. This 30th day of July 1828 . ARCHIBALD LAMON "

Archibald Lamon was the son of Duncan Lamon 1715-1798 and Christian McCoulsky.Duncan was a Scottish immigrant.
