My wife's great-great grandmother, Bridget McNamara O'Leary was born in Ireland and immigrated to the U.S. (San Francisco) in about 1857. However, her obituary says that she was in Australia and New Zealand before coming to the U.S. I am looking for ship/immigration records that would confirm her presence in either country. While she was traveling with William O'Leary on her way to San Francisco, I believe she didn't married him until several years after they arrived there.
