I am going to answer my own question since I asked about gedcoms at Wikitree .I have been experimenting with all the gedcoms from just a volunteer point of view.  First of all , I am impressed that things always worked out whatever I uploaded . So far , I uploaded a couple Ancestry Member Public Tree gedcom , a few PAFS gedcoms , a couple Root Magic ones , and maybe one AQ one . In my own experience , with adjusting the export data  ( notes , sources , private info , ect ) , I find the PAF ones to be the cleanest , the ones that I need to " doctor " less . The Ancestry Public Members Tree gedcoms are the messiest in the source feilds , and of course , no notes , descriptions , exported . I do not have experience with FTM or Legacy ones.

I updated a PAF file and had a problem that people's maiden and middle names often got added either to the first name or last name field...which is a pain to clean up. Other than that the info all seems to be there.
