Research into Olney, Buckingham marriage records (TAG 65:68 April 1990) shows that William Partridge married, Ann “Spigon” October 6, 1635. (It does say that the original Bishop’s Transcripts should be reviewed for the correct maiden name.) As this name Spigon is so unusual, the name Ann Spicer has been used for her, but I don’t know why that name was chosen.
Many trees have the name “Ann Gerrish,” with the same date of marriage in Olney as the records show for Ann Spicer/Spigon.
Is there any evidence supporting the name Gerrish as Ann’s maiden name?
