Sorry Todd, I had not run into this before, Bear with me on this one.
OK, O'Neill-2805 does not exist any more as it has been merged into O'Neill-371..In a merge process, the older Profile number takes precedent and stays as the merged profile number. I checked and O'Neill-2805 will come up as O'Neill-371.
So, I tried to merge your original Profile O'Neill-2762 and O'Neill-371 and now I see the error your are getting. DOH, oh my part. Due to the increased functionality of the new GEDCOMpare, I have not had to run a merge for awhile. If you still have not completed all the names on your GEDCOMpare, you cannot merge with any other Profile as the GEDCOMpare is tied to O'Neill-2762 until it is completed. When you merge with O'Neill-371, O'Neill-2762 will cease to exist and if that specific Profile is gone, the GEDCOM can't complete. Basically, you can't change horses in midstream is what the system is trying to say.
Try again when you are done with your Import phase and the Compare section shows there are no more suggested matches and the Add & Edit numbers are equal on your GDCOMpare Report page, ex. 459/459. If this error still occurs, you may have to delete the Report. If you're done, it doesn't matter anymore, it will be deleted automatically after 60 days anyways. If the error still occurs after this, some global parameter isn't resetting and we'll have to have the programmers tackle it.
Sorry it took so long to get my head around this. Just hadn't run into someone who tried to merge their own Profile in the middle of a GEDCOMpare and hadn't thought of the ramifications of making such a change. Obviously, the programmers did. LOL
All the best,
LJ
