Fritts/Fritz Cemetery in Fayetteville, Perry Township, Ohio

Hi Everyone,

I just joined the Guild of One-Name Studies to work with and learn from  professionals who have published One-Name Studies.  My goal is to eventually publish my Fritz One-Name Study.

One of the Guild members just wrote me that she came across Fritz in her research in Brown County, Ohio.  She said that there is a Fritts/Fritz Cemetery located there in Fayetteville, Perry Township, which is slowly disappearing as the years pass.  Many cholera victims of 1850/1851 are buried there.  She will be researching there in April and if I wanted any photos to let her know.

I have adopted a lot of Fritz profiles that I need to look thru to see if they could be buried there.

If anyone has someone buried there and wants a photo, please let me know and I will have Yolanda take it for you.

Ohhhh very interesting! My dad's paternal family has deep roots in Brown County -- many still living there, so I do a lot of research in that area. I don't recall running into anyone with the Fritz surname in my tree, but I probably just haven't shaken that branch hard enough yet.

Will do! Also, if you are on Facebook there is a great Brown County, Ohio Genealogy group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/369871666379886/

Two of the ladies that work at the genealogical society are in the group and are super helpful! Last year from a random comment on a post from another member in the group I was able to bust down a brickwall that I had been looking into for a few years. Super exciting day!
Thanks

for the information Penny
