I have the persons name, but nothing else.

Question

I am trying to find out more information about my grandmother, Rosetta L. Miles.  I have no money to use for paid services, so I can only look for the free info.  All I have is my grandmother's name and a possible bith date. What do I do now?  I can't ask any family members because the living ones don't remember and the others are dead.

You need to provide her birth date or approximate birth date and a location where she was born/lived/died for better assistance.  You didn't state what COUNTRY>Province or State - which would really help. 

Any other information such as spouses, children and their dates narrow it down considerably.   Is Miles her married or maiden name?
