What about the homes for unweds in County Antrim, Belfast.

We have recently heard much on the unwed mother's home, but what about the homes for unweds in Belfast.  Is there any information about those?  I know my grandmother came from Northern Ireland, and claimed to be a bastard child, born 18April1876.  I have photos of relatives taken at Young's Photograpery, Ballymena, .  Who are these people, how do I find them?

Mary Ellen, a couple of years ago I asked a question here about a Catholic church run home in New Jersey, United States where a daughter of an Irish family seemed to have spent her adult life.  The answers were very eye opening (a polite way of saying "shocking") and included some information about what you're asking now.  You can see them here:  https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/194359/what-kinds-of-places-were-these-
