Seeking ANY information about Asa Leach (b. abt 1786) born in N.C and moving to Walton County, Georgia.

Asa Leach was my great-great-great-great grandfather (Leach-3941). I have excellent history on him and his descendant after he moved to Walton County, Georgia. I DO NOT have proved data on his ancestors. I would appreciate any help on locating his origin. The 1850 census lists his birthplace as North Carolina. This is NOT proven. It is assumed (unproven) by many that his father was William Leach (1761-1852) of North Carolina.
