I am trying to build out my family tree on my Mother's side and I am getting stuck at Benjamin Bennie Weiner.

Son Charles Saul married Katherine and died in 1987:  https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/118608143/charles-saul-wiener

His wife Kathryn died in 1972: https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/118608322/kathryn-m-wiener

I'm not sure what happened to Sarah.  She may have married and moved away.
Thank you so much! I have been able to link my great grandfather Leon Wiener to Benjamin "Bennie" through the find a grave website. For some reason, the family changed spellings from Weiner to Wiener between that generation.

Your Benjamin Weiner emigrated from Russia in 1906.  The settled in Atlantic City, New Jersey.  Their children are Leon and Lewis (Louis) born in Russia, Sarah and Charles born in New Jersey.

His birth date is all over the place so you might want to check the "uncertain/estimated " button on his birth date slot.

That is the problem I have run into. He also spells his wife Mary's name Mary and Miriam on two different census lists. Their headstones have totally different birthdays too but hopefully, the death date is accurate on the headstone.

Is there an easy way to research his past in Russia or do you think that's about as far as I will get?
There's probably records in Russia but I have no clue how to access them without flagging the CIA.  You might have an easier time tracking down your family members and see if any have stories or records that the family brought with them from Russia.

A Family Bible would be an awesome find but I don't know if Russians keep those.  Surely they keep something like it.
Saundra, if you are still following. I contacted my Uncle and he provided me with information and I was on the right path. I found the Great Great grandmothers last name and their correct birth location

Thanks!
