I am getting many error messages that I cannot read

I know my eyes are getting bad - soon to get surgery, but normally can ready most things.  However, I cannot read the error messages printed on gold.  There is not enough distinction between the letters and the gold background;  Can anything be done about this?>

What browser do you use?  If you're on Internet Explorer, you may want to try changing your settings to a color scheme that works better for your vision.  https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17456/windows-internet-explorer-ease-of-access-options

Thank you so much but I have a MacBook Air as a computer.  Does anyone know if there is a way to change the colours on it or mak,e the print for this program larger?  or both??
I think it may be the settings you have on the particular browser you are using. I also use a Mac and I don't have anything that comes up in gold coloring on the Suggestions. I usually access the Suggestions lists from either Safari or Firefox. You can can increase the size of the info on the page on Safari by going up to the View Menu and selecting Zoom from the dropdown list. On Firefox you can hold down the Command key and flick up with your mouse to increase or flick down to decrease.
Thank you - have put in the zoom  function.  I am not really sure what I am doing on thie computer  never have been, but love it in spite of my ignorance.  No idea why it comes in gold but not sure how to cane that yet.

I saw that you are on a mac. What browser are you using? Chrome and Firefox both have extensions for colorblindness that give a range of options for adjusting colors.

I interpret Lauraine's concern as being with the WikiTree error message banners with messages such as "Caution: Unusual information. Is the following correct?" that are displayed as white on an orange/gold/yellow background. This seems like a technical issue for the WikiTree team to look into.

Thank you for answering me.  I have Safari and although I am not overly fond of it continue to use it.   I am not going colour blind but having vision problems and due to go for a check up to see if my eyes are ready to be operated on for cataracts.  I can usuall y see fairly well (just passed my driver's test) but do notice that I am having trouble with the black letters on gold.    This machine is easy to use but has a few failures for me.

Thanks again.

Yes, that is the exact problem I am having.  Thank you very much.

Mac's are all that I use. Download Google Chrome and make it your default web browser. I think you will like it better than Safari. Hope this helps!
Am a bit hesitant to download Google Chrome.  I am so thrilled with my MacAir but perhaps I should.  You will have to give me very strict instructions as I a not great at downloading anything except pictures.  I also have an iPad which I love for taking pictures.
Use this link

It has links to download Chrome for different platforms and it also has tech tips to help with all your questions.

Hope this helps.
